Ten thousand people in America turn 65 every day. Older adults are a growing population and yet they are undeserved. I have a great deal of respect for older adults, and find I can easily build rapport to facilitate conversation and insight. Older adults - like everybody else - experience emotional struggles and inner conflict. They think deeply about changes in their circumstances/living arrangements, losses of partners or friends, medical or physical ailments, and the shift in their relationships with their children. Psychotherapy to process these changes can be extremely effective for improving quality of life. Therapy may also address cognitive or memory issues, and provide tools for dealing with these changes.
